SUMMARY

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for payroll processing, analyzes payroll data reports, verifies employee pay data information, calculates pay, enters pay data information, and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of employee compensation.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of experience working in the payroll
  • Experience working in multi-state payroll
  • Working knowledge of tax codes and regulations
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with ADP EV6, Workday, Workforce & SAP
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with employees and team members in a professional manner
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state and local payroll regulations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask

Responsibilities
  • Consistently and accurately process payroll for a minimum of 1300+ employees (high volume)
  • Analyze and reviews payroll reports for employee related changes
  • Extract hours and audit timesheets to ensure hours worked are paid
  • Manage garnishments, direct deposit, and other payroll deductions
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Respond to employees regarding payroll inquiries
  • Audits payroll data and completes a peer review prior to payroll close
  • Fulfills VOE requests as needed
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Partners with HR & People Operations to ensure accuracy of employee records
  • Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies; escalating to management as needed
