Job Description An exciting opportunity exists for a Payroll Executive to join the team at Mondrian Gold Coast. You will be a part of the Finance team with support into the People & Culture Department. This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in payroll looking to grow into a Finance or People & Culture department. YOUR DAY TO DAY Maintain a thorough understanding of Ready Workforce Payroll System, its configuration, functions, reports and back up requirements Maintain penalties, wage rates (rate sets in the NPS system) in accordance with the relevant awards agreement Ensure all new team members are set up correctly and tax requirements are flagged in Ready Workforce in line with employee tax instalment declaration Process fortnightly payroll process in full and complete the payroll checklist Deal with employee queries and prepare any manual payments that may be required Ensure all End of Year duties are performed per Year End requirements supplied by Ready Workforce General Cashier Report daily with reference from the reports generated from the cash recycling machine and reconciling the daily collection of cash Responsible to withdraw and handover the cash sales in cash recycling machines to the appointed third-party vendor for deposit into the designated bank Maintain compliance on the following: o Queensland Revenue Office - Payroll Tax ATO - PAYG, Termination Wages, compliance, Queensland Work Cover, Paid Parental, Long Service Leave and Superannuation Guarantee WHAT YOU WILL BRING Experienced working with an industry award - HIGA preferable but not essential Proven experience in payroll administration, including processing payroll, handling deductions, bonuses, and overtime, ideally in a hospitality setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, most especially Microsoft Excel, and payroll/cashier software for generating reports, tracking transactions, and maintaining financial records. Previous exposure to financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and documentation of both payroll and cashier functions.
