To continue our expansion, we are looking for you as a Payroll Expert/Payroll Accountant (m/f/d).

Our daily dose of action

As a Payroll Expert, you will be part of the HR Service Center and report directly to the Payroll Manager. The Payroll team is currently responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for more than 15,000 employees in our stores and country office.

Your tasks include, among other things:

Monthly review and reconciliation of the general ledger accounts related to wages and salaries
Preparation of payroll and salary entries, as well as support with monthly and annual financial statements.
Main contact person for the local finance department and financial services
Support for internal and external audits by providing wage and salary-related documentation and analyses.
Monitoring of payroll processes and identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and automation
Close collaboration with HR, Finance and external service providers
Providing advice to managers and employees in our nationwide branches.
Clarification of special features under tax and social security law
Handling wage garnishments and insolvencies

This is what you bring with you

Successfully completed commercial vocational training, ideally with further training in payroll accounting.
At least 3 years of professional experience in (internal and/or external) payroll accounting as well as sound specialist knowledge
A good understanding of financial processes and their interfaces with payroll accounting, especially with regard to month-end closing, provisions and accounting requirements.
Proficient use of MS Office products, especially Excel
Knowledge of SAP-HCM (payroll) and SuccessFactors (EC Payroll) is advantageous.
A high degree of discretion as well as absolute accuracy and reliability
Teamwork skills and a strong service orientation
A high degree of service orientation and a pronounced hands-on mentality
Excellent written and spoken English skills

A gross annual salary for full-time employment ranges from €42,810 to €61,000 (plus Christmas bonus), depending on professional experience.
