About the role: As a Payroll Expert, you hold full country responsibility for payroll delivery and act as the key subject matter expert. Which tasks can you expect? End‑to‑end ownership of country‑specific payroll delivery Ensure full compliance with local payroll, tax, and labour regulations Functionally steer and support operational payroll teams Act as the main contact for clients, authorities, and external partners Safeguard payroll quality, accuracy, stability, and timeliness Lead payroll implementations, transitions, and client onboardings Manage and execute SIT, UAT, and parallel payroll runs Own and evolve country payroll templates and local solutions Drive continuous improvement, automation, and quality initiatives Contribute business cases and expertise to product and template development Deliver training and functional enablement for internal teams What do you have to offer? Professional skills 8–12 years of advanced payroll experience, preferably in outsourcing or shared services Expert knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (EC, ECP, PCC) Deep understanding of local payroll, tax, and labour legislation Experience with expat/impat payroll, split payroll, and shadow payroll is a plus Fluent English and fluency in the local country language Strong ownership mindset with a high sense of accountability for outcomes Excellent stakeholder and client management skills Ability to explain complex payroll topics clearly and convincingly High level of trustworthiness and discretion when handling sensitive data Structured, proactive, and quality‑driven working style Resilience and composure in high‑pressure or high‑impact situations Ability to influence without formal authority and lead through expertise From many places, we work as one, moving from better to best together.
