POSITION SUMMARY:
The Payroll and Finance Administrative Assistant supports the Finance Department by performing a variety of financial and administrative duties, with a focus on payroll processing, reconciliation, and financial record-keeping. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Payroll, or related field.
· 2+ years of experience in payroll and finance administration.
· Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now) and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct preferred).
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
· Experience in a nonprofit or community organization is an asset

ADMINISTRATIVE AND CLERICAL DUTIES:
· Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for payroll and finance documentation.
· Schedule and coordinate finance-related meetings and deadlines.
· Liaise with other departments to gather necessary documentation or resolve payroll/finance-related issues.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance & Payroll Team and the Chief Operating and Financial Officer.
