The Payroll/Finance Administrator is responsible for all areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting including payroll. Maintains accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees the Centers financial operations, to include Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable plus other financial services. Responsible for the preparation of all Center financial statements.
  • Analysis and explanation of all P & L variances for monthly financials.
  • Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, payroll and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and procedural standards.
  • Inputs monthly journal entries into company general ledger software for posting.
  • Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing entries.
  • Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Supervises department and provides training to staff as needed.
  • Interviews and recommends for hire, disciplines, and evaluates performance of the direct report staff.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Adheres to required property controls policies and procedures.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
  • Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the individual’s scope and capabilities.
    Requirements:
    Experience: Prior supervisory experience preferred.
    Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from a four-year college or university is preferred.
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State driver’s license required.
