Long term care and rehabilitation center seeking a Payroll and Human Resources Professional to support our amazing team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, and passionate about people and processes. This role is perfect for someone who can manage payroll deadlines, maintain compliance, and support employees with care and professionalism.
Position Description
Responsible for coordinating payroll and HR processes for approximately 85 employees in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting. This includes preparing and submitting payroll to the resource team, managing timecard corrections, bonuses, and retro pay. Oversees all onboarding processes including I-9s, licensure verification, and employee file compliance.
The Payroll/HR Coordinator ensures employee records remain up-to-date, monitors certification expirations, and supports documentation for employee status changes and wage adjustments. Works closely with department heads and leadership to support employee relations, assist with investigations, and maintain compliance with state and federal labor laws.
This position also plays a key role in employee engagement by helping organize staff appreciation events, wellness activities, and retention efforts. Serves as the point person for day-to-day employee questions and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
