POSITION SUMMARY The HR Specialist is a part-time position responsible for providing support in human resources administration, payroll processing, and employee data management. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll execution using ADP (or similar systems), maintains compliance with employment regulations, and delivers exceptional service to employees and leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll Administration * Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP. * Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. * Handle payroll adjustments, deductions, and benefits. HR Administrative Support * Manage employee records in the HRIS and ensure data integrity. * Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations. * Prepare HR reports and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Compliance & Policy * Ensure adherence to labor laws and internal policies. * Support audits and reporting requirements. Employee Support * Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies. * Provide guidance on HR processes and escalate issues as needed. EDUCATION * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. EXPERIENCE * 2+ years of HR administrative experience. * Hands-on experience with ADP or similar payroll systems (required). * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms. LOCATION & HOURS This position is a part-time, hourly position working fewer than 30 hours per week. It is a hybrid role that combines remote work with an on-site presence. The individual in this position will be required to work on campus at St. David’s School in Raleigh as part of their regular responsibilities.
