QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll and human resources, with a 50/50 split preferred.
  • Multi-state payroll experience required.
  • ADP experience required; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, payroll compliance, and benefits administration.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred.
  • Highly professional with strong attention to confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for approximately 200 employees using ADP.
  • Audit payroll for accuracy and compliance; process employee changes, earnings, and deductions.
  • Maintain timekeeping systems, ensuring proper coding and pay/bill rates.
  • Ensure all new hires are accurately onboarded in ADP and benefits systems.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), COBRA, and workers’ compensation.
  • Support HR workflows such as I-9 verification, EEO tracking, leave of absence administration, and unemployment claims.
  • Assist with recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screening, and background checks.
  • Generate HR and payroll reports (including ACA and W-2 reporting).
  • Participate in audits and support compliance efforts.
