High Profile has partnered with our client to find a Payroll & HR Specialist for a contract assignment with the potential to transition into permanent employment. You’ll play a key role in supporting a growing, multi-state team by ensuring accurate payroll processing, smooth HR operations, and excellent employee support.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of multi-state, multi-unit payroll experience required (preferably including California).
• Strong payroll knowledge (balancing, controls, taxes, reporting).
• Experience with Paylocity, Sage Intacct, and Excel is a plus!
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong collaboration, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.
• Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving skills.

• Process payroll for multi-state employees, including off-cycle payments, adjustments, and year-end reporting.
• Maintain employee data in Paylocity and HRIS systems, including benefits, garnishments, and status changes.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes (I-9/E-Verify, system setup, terminations).
• Provide employee support for payroll, timesheets, and HR-related inquiries.
• Audit and maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements as needed.
