As we scale, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and supporting HR initiatives to enhance our people operations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Payroll & HR Administrator will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, supporting HR compliance and documentation, and serving as a key point of contact for employee inquiries related to compensation, benefits, and HR policies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or human resources administration (startup or high-growth environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (e.g., iSolved, Paychex, ADP or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time, including salary, hourly, overtime, and special payments.
  • Maintain payroll records, employee data, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Coordinate with finance and HR teams to ensure payroll accuracy and reporting.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave tracking.
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring required documentation is collected and maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support employee relations by responding to payroll and HR-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with performance review processes, employee engagement initiatives, and policy updates.
  • Generate HR and payroll reports for leadership as needed.
  • Partner with HR leadership on initiatives to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.
