LDP Chartered Accountants and Auditors invites a skilled Payroll Manager to join our dynamic and professional team in Stellenbosch on a 4-month fixed-term contract. This temporary position is available to provide maternity leave cover from approximately September 2025.

This is a full-day, in-office position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a highly efficient payroll division within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing full-function payroll across multiple clients using SAGE VIP and Simple Pay.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of salaries, leave, and employee benefits.
  • Overseeing monthly submissions and reconciliations related to PAYE, UIF, SDL, and related statutory payments.
  • Administering employee benefit funds, including Sanlam, Old Mutual, Momentum, Discovery, and CAMAF.
  • Processing salary payments via Payaccsys and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Supporting payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ payroll management experience, preferably in a payroll outsourcing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation, including PAYE, BCEA, EE, SDLA, Income Tax Act, COIDA, and SARS eFiling.
  • Solid experience with SAGE VIP, Simple Pay, and Payaccsys is essential.

  • Advanced Excel skills and computer literacy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential payroll matters.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required.
