Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and optimize payroll operations across multiple business units. This role is responsible for leading payroll strategy, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate, timely payroll processing for a diverse, multi-state workforce. Key Responsibilities Direct and manage all aspects of multi-state payroll operations, ensuring precision and timeliness for salaries, bonuses, benefits, and tax obligations. Drive the implementation and enhancement of payroll systems and technology platforms. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and labor law requirements. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and standardize procedures while accommodating regional needs. Oversee payroll adjustments such as new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and system updates. Handle annual reviews and financial audits; prepare management reports as needed. Monitor global mobility initiatives and ensure accurate handling of taxable benefits for international employees. Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard payroll integrity and compliance. Qualifications In-depth knowledge of payroll operations, tax compliance, and internal control practices. Proven leadership experience managing payroll teams and processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in payroll systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to lead system implementations and process improvement initiatives. ADP Workforce Now experience required Demonstrated experience with payroll system upgrades or implementations. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years in a payroll management role with multi-state payroll expertise. Comprehensive understanding of payroll compliance at the federal and state levels. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fontana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $55.00/hr.
