Are you a payroll expert with a passion for precision and efficiency? We’re looking for a dynamic Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll process for our team of 600+ employees across multiple states. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our payroll operations run smoothly and accurately, all while collaborating with our Human Resources and Finance departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in processing in-house, multi-state payroll for 600+ employees.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and payroll best practices.
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) and ADP Certification are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and MS Excel (including IF statements, Vlookups, Pivot tables, etc.).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solution-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
  • Open-minded, self-starter with a flexible and problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to be present for payroll processing every other week.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Biweekly Payroll Processing: Take charge of our in-house payroll, ensuring compliance with SOX guidelines.
  • Resolve Payroll Issues: Be the go-to person for all payroll-related concerns, providing timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Enhance New Hire Experience: Participate in new hire orientation to make a great first impression.
  • Train and Educate: Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on the ADP system and Time and Attendance matters.
  • Prepare Reports: Generate periodic payroll and financial reports for management, accounting, and auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate with ADP: Work closely with ADP to resolve tax issues and set up accounts in new states.
  • Support Audits: Assist with 401k, Workers’ Comp, Payroll, and general audits.
  • Special Projects: Perform ad hoc analyses and contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Take on other tasks as assigned to support our team.
