Description
Overview We seek an experienced, detail-oriented payroll manager to join our team. As a payroll manager, you will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payments of employees at our organisation. You will also collaborate with various departments to gather and validate payroll information, resolve payroll discrepancies and provide exceptional service to our employees. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of payroll regulations, exceptional organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Reviews time sheets, wage computation and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. Verifies attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments & maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Identifies and recommends improvements to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. Provides reports for the finance department from UKG Pro as requested. Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts Qualifications Bachelors’ degree in accounting or related field of study. Experiece with weekly, bi-weekly, and union payroll Experience with union reporting Must have CPP Five to seven years payroll experience Minimum of 3 years experience with UKG payroll system Strong attention to detail Strong knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks on multiple projects with multiple team members and departments is a must. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Work Environment & Conditions This is a hybrid position with 3-4 days a week in the office, and 1-2 days working remotely. This position requires a flexible work schedule; night and/or weekends may be required.
