Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a highly reputable long-standing service company in the heart of Boston to identify a Payroll Manager to join their team.

  • The Position: The Payroll Manager is a stand-alone position that will own the payroll process and will be in charge of handling weekly payroll for both union and nonunion employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of Payroll experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skill
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities
  • Manages and guarantees disbursement of payroll, benefits, and taxes consistent with government wage and hour laws
  • Ensures the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely
  • Communicates actively with Operations, Human Resources and Billing to review cross-departmental impacts and reconciles data sharing
  • Process weekly union and non-union payroll
  • Leads regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
  • Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
  • Responsible for weekly certified payroll reporting, union and/or prevailing wage calculations.
