POSITION SUMMARY:

The Payroll Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for the management and continuous improvement of Kodiak’s payroll processing across more than 40 subsidiary companies. This role leads the payroll function and ensures the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll processing. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to support a diverse workforce—including plant, warehouse, and field personnel within our Operating Companies in a rapidly evolving organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field required; Master’s degree or certifications (CPP) preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in payroll, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity
  • Deep expertise in ADP Workforce Now is preferred
  • Experience managing multi-entity, multi-state payrolls, including acquisitions and system integrations
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced Excel proficiency
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and improve systems and processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment

Location: This position is primarily on-site at our headquarters located at: 9780 Pyramid Court, Englewood, CO 80112

  • Regular in-person attendance is required Monday through Thursday
  • Friday is an optional remote workday

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to move between departments within the company facility
    Min Salary: USD $115,000.00/Yr. Max Salary: USD $160,000.00/Yr
