JOB DESCRIPTION:

Broadstep Behavioral Health is actively seeking a Payroll Manager to support our business in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Illinois. This is a full-time role that is Fully Remote, but candidates must live in NC, SC, GA, or FL. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to join our team as Payroll Manager. In this role, you will help with all aspects of the payroll function using Cerdian Dayforce hosted payroll services platform. Candidates with experience using Dayforce please be sure to highlight in your resume.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or related field) or 5 years of experience working in payroll or payroll related role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing payroll.
  • You must have knowledge of US Payroll requirements/compliance by State, customer service experience, and a successful track record of managing payroll solutions.
  • Knowledge of payroll/benefit regulations including Federal and State HR/Payroll Laws (FMLA, FLSA, e.g.) and IRS regulations that impact payroll and benefits
  • Demonstrates attention to detail,
  • Proactive, highly driven and self-directed.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with internal and external customers, vendors and consultants
  • Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll, providing leadership and oversight to the function
  • Provide timely and accurate payroll payments for all employees in a multi-state environment, including approved regular pay, bonuses, overtime, etc.
  • Identify and offer recommendations for improvements in processes, systems, and procedures to ensure department effectiveness
  • Provide consultative services to HR leadership on issues relating to employee pay and bonuses
  • Ensure appropriate earnings and deductions are configured in Dayforce
  • Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, new hires/terminations, accounting reports, etc.,
  • Provide management, regulatory agencies, and service providers with reports and data as requested
  • Resolve all payroll issues with ADP support
  • Ensure all child support deductions and any other garnishments are processed accurately. Respond to unemployment claims.
  • All aspects of year-end processing, including fringe benefits, ACA reporting, W-2’s and EEO reporting, and any corrected forms.
  • Benefit invoice reconciliation
  • Create and provide reporting on a monthly, annual and ad-hoc basis for HR and Accounting for purposes of business decisions.
  • Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax regulations
  • Participate in benefit program regulatory compliance activities (e.g., government filings, nondiscrimination testing, ACA reporting, etc.) and assist in internal/external audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned
