PAYROLL MANAGER | £35,000 | LIVERPOOL

We are working with a leading group providing health services based in Liverpool, to recruit a confident and capable Payroll Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into this stand alone role where you’ll manage the full payroll process and play a key role in ensuring staff across the business are paid accurately and on time.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • End to end payroll processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and internal policies
  • Managing payroll queries and providing advice on pay, tax, NI, pensions etc
  • Supporting the finance team with payroll reporting and reconciliations
  • Working with external partners such as pension providers, HMRC etc
  • Implementing process improvements and supporting future system upgrades

For this Payroll Manager vacancy, we are looking for:

  • Proven experience running payrolls, ideally in house although bureau background will be considered
  • Experience with weekly payrolls and working with time and attendance systems
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
  • Solid payroll systems knowledge
  • A proactive approach and strong interpersonal skills
