We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to manage payroll operations across multiple U.S. states. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for a diverse and growing workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal and multi-state payroll regulations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years managing multi-state payroll.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, UKG) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax regulations.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with payroll in Louisiana and neighboring states (e.g., Texas, Mississippi).
Familiarity with union payroll or government contracts is a plus.
Experience working in a mid-to-large size organization or a company with remote employees.

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing training and performance feedback.
Maintain and update payroll systems, including timekeeping and HRIS integrations.
Ensure accurate calculation and distribution of wages, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
Oversee payroll tax filings and coordinate with external vendors or tax agencies as needed.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on employee onboarding, offboarding, and compensation changes.
Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations, especially those affecting Louisiana and other relevant states.
Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Lead or support payroll-related projects, including system upgrades and process automation.
