Description

We are looking for a Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll operations for a large-scale, multi-state workforce. This is a long-term contract position based in Seattle, Washington, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing union payrolls, full-cycle payroll processes, and advanced systems like ADP Workforce Now and Viewpoint Vista.

Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle payroll operations for a workforce exceeding 2,000 employees across multiple states.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including union-specific requirements.
  • Oversee payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for payroll management, fostering efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct audits to ensure payroll data integrity and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Lead efforts to optimize payroll processes and integrate new technologies as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to payroll staff, ensuring their growth and performance excellence.
  • Prepare detailed reports and analysis for management, highlighting payroll trends and insights.
  • Stay updated on payroll-related legislative changes and proactively adjust processes.
  • Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll for large organizations, including union payroll.
  • Strong expertise in multi-state payroll operations and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of payroll regulations and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive payroll information with discretion and confidentiality.
