We are looking for a skilled Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll operations for a large, multi-state workforce. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and has extensive experience with full-cycle payroll processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll execution while driving efficiencies and improvements in payroll systems This is a HANDS-ON Payroll Processing role as well as managing a staff down the line. You must be okay handling the hands-on payroll processing to start owning the process and building out things as the company grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate bi-monthly payroll for a workforce exceeding 500 employees.
  • Oversee multi-state payroll operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and reporting, optimizing its functionalities.
  • Implement and support system conversions, contributing to the successful deployment of payroll-related technologies.
  • Drive business process improvements within payroll operations to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly, maintaining employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll-related workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with tax reporting and filing requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor payroll metrics and generate reports for leadership to support decision-making.
  • Extensive hands on experience in full-cycle payroll management, including handling payroll for over 500 employees.
  • Proven expertise in multi-state payroll operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and system optimization.
  • Strong background in implementing payroll system conversions and upgrades.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business process improvements within payroll functions.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
