OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and payroll management, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and internal policies. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in payroll management or a similar accounting role is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll processing is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting practices is preferred.
  • Experience with account reconciliation processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software is necessary for effective job performance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for managing complex payroll tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery for all employees.
  • Review, process, adjust, and approve timesheets for all 500 hourly employees on a daily and weekly basis
  • Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions.
  • Maintain the general ledger accounting for payroll-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of payroll data and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Oversee accounts payable functions related to payroll, including processing deductions and garnishments.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure proper employee classification and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax laws affecting payroll processes.
  • Implement and maintain accounting software systems to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to payroll clerks, ensuring adherence to best practices in payroll management.
