PROFILE SOUGHT

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (experience with other systems is an asset)
  • Active member of the Canadian Payroll Association
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in a high-volume hiring and termination environment
  • Strong problem-solving and system implementation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and balance payroll in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements
  • Manage deductions (benefits, RRSP, etc.)
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in the payroll system (new hires, changes, terminations)
  • Generate payroll reports as required by the organization
  • Prepare termination-related documents: Records of Employment (ROEs), T4s, RL-1s
  • Perform payroll-related accounting tasks: analysis, reconciliations, reporting, communication with government agencies
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, vacation, benefits, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the Controller and Finance department as needed
