  Payroll Manager – Cleveland, OH Hybrid: (4 Days/Week Onsite, 1 Day/Week Remote) Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our Cleveland office. This role is primarily onsite and will oversee all aspects of payroll administration in a fast-paced professional services environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical payroll expertise, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, and a high level of discretion and accuracy. Prior experience in a law firm or corporate setting is strongly preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage and process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance * Serve as the primary administrator for ADP Workforce Now, including payroll processing, reporting, and system maintenance * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements * Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and coordination with third-party vendors * Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and audits * Partner with HR, Finance and other Firm teams and employees on employee changes, benefits deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and special payroll runs * Prepare and reconcile payroll-related general ledger entries and reports * Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality * Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls * Support internal and external audits as needed * Oversee the payroll team members * Manage payroll audits and lead all payroll related projects QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of 7+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or professional services environment; law firm experience strongly preferred * Completion of an undergraduate, Bachelor’s degree. * Hands-on, direct experience with ADP Workforce Now is required * Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage and hour laws * Experience managing multi-state payrolls * High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments WHAT WE OFFER: * Compensation starting at $90,000+, actual compensation will be based on relevant experience and skill set  * Day 1 Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage * Paid Time Off: PTO begins immediately, plus paid holidays * Retirement Plan: 401(k) with profit-sharing contribution * Annual HSA Contribution EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER STATEMENT: Tucker Ellis LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
