  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience
  • Experience using Employment Hero, Xero or other payroll platforms
  • Confidence interpreting and applying multiple awards and agreements
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A strong commitment to client service excellence
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team for a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant and high-performing payroll team working across a diverse portfolio of outsourced payroll clients.
This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their payroll career further, with exposure to various software platforms (including Employment Hero), modern awards, and client processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a range of outsourced clients
  • Reviewing payroll data processed by other team members to ensure accuracy and legislative compliance
  • Providing timely and professional responses to client payroll queries
  • Delivering strong customer service to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Assisting colleagues with interpretation of awards, agreements, and payroll legislation
