Job Description Why this role is exciting Payroll at AFCA is hands-on, purposeful and full of variety. No two days look the same and you’ll be part of a team that makes sure our people feel valued and supported. You’ll work closely with the Payroll Manager and the Finance team to deliver seamless payroll operations, accurate reporting and exceptional service to AFCA employees. What you’ll do As our Payroll Officer, you will: Assist with end-to-end payroll processing for AFCA employees‑to‑end payroll processing for AFCA employees Maintain employee records and support onboarding, salary changes and exits Respond to payroll queries quickly, clearly and kindly Apply award entitlements accurately and confidently Calculate leave, super, PAYG and other payroll components Assist with reconciliations, reporting and audit preparation Support annual review processes including back-pay calculations Keep electronic personnel files tidy, accurate and compliant Contribute to improving payroll processes and documentation Support ad hoc payroll tasks and small projects Qualifications What you’ll bring You’re a great fit if you have: Experience with end-to-end payroll processing‑to‑end payroll processing A solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks Intermediate Excel skills and confidence with data Meticulous attention to detail, you take pride in getting things right Clear communication skills and a helpful, approachable style The ability to work independently while being a great team contributor A steady, calm approach when deadlines hit Additional Information What's on offer BOSS Best Places to Work 2024 –credited for its culture, engagement and flexible working arrangements.
