QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant payroll experience in a high-volume setting
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Awards and EBAs
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable is an advantage
  • Exposure to FastTrack, Greentree, or similar payroll software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and adaptable to new systems
  • Excellent time management, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Strong service mentality and communication skills
  • High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet KPIs
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable team player
  • Must be willing to report onsite at Arcovia, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Torquejobs (Torque Recruitment Group) is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Officer to join our finance and administration team. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and invoicing for on-hire workers, internal staff, and client billing cycles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and verify timesheets to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages.
  • Prepare and process on-hire payrolls, internal payroll, and associated reports.
  • Calculate PAYG, payroll tax, and ensure correct application of Awards, EBAs, and other agreements.
  • Maintain and update payroll conditions in the database for accurate interpretation.
  • Manage data transfer from Qlicr to Xero.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring alignment with payroll and client expectations.
  • Liaise with operational teams to resolve timesheet and billing queries.
  • Assist in reconciliations, annual payment summaries, and statutory returns.
  • Supervise EFT bank payments and ensure all documentation remains confidential and secure.
