We're looking for a Payroll Officer to join our National Payroll team, supporting more than 25,000 employees across Australia. Working with Workday Payroll, you'll gain exposure to large-scale payroll operations, complex payroll scenarios and continuous system improvements, while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team. What You'll Be Doing As part of our National Payroll team, you'll play an important role in the end-to-end payroll process, including: Processing weekly payroll using Workday Payroll Maintaining employee records including new starters, employment changes and terminations Reviewing and validating Time & Attendance data (LIFELENZ) Processing a range of leave types including annual, personal, parental and long service leave Assisting with workers' compensation and other payroll-related transactions Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and managers via phone, email and JIRA Supporting payroll reconciliations including superannuation, payroll tax and year-to-date reporting Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation Contributing to payroll process improvements and system enhancements You'll bring: Around 2–3 years' experience in a payroll role A sound understanding of payroll legislation, PAYG, superannuation and leave entitlements Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements (or a willingness to build on this knowledge) Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment Desirable Skills: Experience using Workday or another HRIS/payroll system Intermediate Excel skills A Certificate IV or Diploma in Payroll Administration (or similar) What We Offer Work with one of Australia's largest payrolls, supporting over 25,000 employees.
