OVERVIEW

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Officer to join our public practice. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting software, as well as the ability to analyse data effectively. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organisational skills, and have experience with various payroll platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a payroll or accounting role, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in using payroll systems such as Brightpay is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all data is current and accurate.
  • Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
  • Collaborate with the clients.
  • Prepare reports related to payroll metrics and analyse trends to support decision-making processes.
