JOB DESCRIPTION

Together with your local and international colleagues of the payroll team, your main responsibility is to process and validate the fortnightly payroll input and results and ensure correct mutation processing.
Our definition of complex payrolling is when you work for various business units spread over several countries which, of course, have their own set of rules regarding compliance. Taking into account that Ritchie Bros. has an ever-changing global presence and therefore setting up expats is part of responsibilities.

Day to day tasks also include:

  • Maintain and update employee database in our payrolling systems.
  • Answer questions from employees and business partners regarding salaries, taxes and payroll related queries.
  • Reconcile timesheets, overtime, sick days, vacation days;
  • Provide payroll reporting to business stakeholders
  • New hire payroll documentation and set up
  • User access for new hires in MyLeave and ADP
  • Interface with external vendors, insurance companies, audit partners, Finance team and maintain an excellent relationship with all parties
  • Collaboration with payroll vendor, Business partners and international payroll team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years working experience in managing complex and/ or high-volume payrolls, with proven experience in other countries highly desirable.
  • Experience in (payroll) accounting environment
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to learn new tools and systems fast
  • Hands-on approach, attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Worked with an outsourced payroll vendor (ADP SPM knowledge is a plus)
  • Bachelor degree in business administration, finance or similar field
  • 5+ year’s experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Oracle is a preference
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing APAC fortnightly payroll, and Asian countries Monthly payroll
  • Maintain employee database in payrolling systems to ensure data integrity
  • Assist with reconciling payroll accounts
  • Maintain Payroll processing documentation
  • Ensure all documentation is completed for new hires and deadlines are met
