Join us to build the future.   Your Impact  As the Payroll Specialist, you’ll own the day‑to‑day execution of payroll and timekeeping operations for a fast‑growing, values‑driven organization. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity across all payroll inputs while delivering exceptional support to employees and managers. Working closely with the Payroll Manager—who leads strategy, optimization, and compliance—you’ll maintain independent responsibility for precise processing, proactive issue resolution, and high‑quality customer service. In this role, you’ll help create a smooth, reliable payroll experience that strengthens trust, supports growth, and keeps our workforce running with confidence.   Your Day-to-Day-Responsibilities   Payroll Processing  * Process weekly payroll from end-to-end, including data validation, timecard audits, adjustments, and final payroll submission.  * Review and audit time & attendance data for accuracy (shift differentials, OT, travel, PTO).  * Enter, update, and audit employee payroll changes (deductions, garnishments, direct deposit, tax info).  * Validate payroll reports and perform pre- and post‑payroll audits.  Timekeeping Administration  * Serve as first-line support for timecard issues, corrections, and manager questions.  * Monitor incomplete or problematic punches; partner with supervisors for corrections.  * Maintain Paycor timekeeping setup changes with direction from Payroll Manager.  * Payroll Compliance & Reporting Support  * Assist in payroll tax reconciliations and reporting.  * Support 401(k) contribution validation and audits.  * Prepare reports for Finance, HR, and leadership as needed.  Employee Support  * Respond promptly to payroll-related questions with clarity and service orientation.  * Train and support employees and managers in timekeeping procedures, ensuring proper and consistent use of timecards, PTO tracking, and holiday settings  * Provide excellent customer service, especially when troubleshooting pay discrepancies.  * Process & Documentation  * Maintain SOPs and job aids for payroll and timekeeping processes.  * Identify data issues or trends and escalate to Payroll Manager.  * Suggest process improvements; participate in systems testing or configuration changes.  Qualifications  * 2-4 years of hands-on payroll experience, including direct experience with multi-state payroll for 1,000+ employees; multi-state construction industry experience preferred  * Strong understanding of timecard complexity (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, and travel pay)  * Deep knowledge of payroll tax, 401(k) administration, and payroll compliance  * Strong technical and system administration experience, ideally in Paycor or similar enterprise HRIS  * Highly organized, analytical, and process-oriented  * Excellent communication and service mindset—you enjoy making complex processes easy to understand  * Passion for continuous improvement and supporting scalable growth  * Advanced excel and analytical skills are required  * Ability to handle confidential information  Benefits  * Competitive Salary  * Paid Time Off * 401(k) with company match * Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance * Collaborative, high-energy workplace * First Time Homebuyer Program  Our Core Values  * Safety - We proactively protect our people and environment  * Inclusion - We respect and appreciate diverse perspectives and backgrounds   * Speed - We move fast, act decisively, and stay agile  * Innovation - We challenge assumptions and simplify processes * Judgment - We make sound decisions with the business in mind  * Accountability - We take ownership and deliver results  Job Application Notice  Accelevation LLC does not ask for payment or sensitive personal details, such as bank account or Social Security numbers, during the job application process.  If you're unsure about a job posting, apply directly at https://www.accelevation.com to stay safe.    Equal Opportunity Employer  Accelevation LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
