Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As Payroll Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across the UK team. This standalone role requires someone confident, proactive, and detail-oriented who can manage their workload independently and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· End-to-end responsibility for UK payroll, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
· Provide payroll insights to support HR on tax and social security implications of employee benefits
· Maintain and optimise payroll systems and processes
· Act as primary contact for payroll queries from employees and external stakeholders (HMRC, software providers, auditors)
· Oversee absence tracking and expense declaration platforms
· Ensure compliance with UK legislation and internal SOX controls
· Stay updated on payroll regulations and integrate relevant changes into practice
· Support payroll-related projects and initiatives
