Job Title: Payroll Compliance Specialist Job Description The Payroll Compliance Specialist is responsible for the overall day-to-day activities related to DBRA compliance. This role involves collecting data, preparing certified payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Responsibilities Collect data and prepare certified payroll reports to ensure compliance with DBRA and related acts. Submit data via web-based applications, including pay rates, fringe benefit statements, and employer training contributions. Verify the correctness and compliance of payroll data with applicable rules and regulations. Review contracts to determine additional labor compliance requirements. Send correspondence for missing documents and request revised documentation to ensure compliance. Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issues. Provide training and guidance on prevailing wage requirements and payroll procedures. Collaborate with the field operations team, legal, and accounting/finance team to ensure accurate processing of payrolls. Maintain detailed records of wages, hours worked, and job classifications for audit purposes. Essential Skills Proficiency in union payroll, certified payroll, and payroll processing. Experience with payroll software and Excel. Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years in payroll processing, preferably in construction or government contracting. Experience with prevailing wage payroll and certified payroll reporting is highly desirable. Work Environment This role operates from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with one day of remote work per week. It is based in a nice office within a growing company! Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
