Responsibilities

As our Payroll Specialist, you’ll be the engine behind CIHA’s payroll operations—ensuring every paycheck, deduction, and report is accurate and timely. You’ll work closely with Human Resources, Accounting, and third-party vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations.

  • Process payroll and related liabilities with accuracy and timeliness
  • Audit timekeeping records and maintain attendance data
  • Manage deductions, garnishments, and tax filings
  • Prepare and submit retirement plan reports (PERS & SBS)
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and resolve variances
  • Coordinate W-2 preparation and support internal/external audits
  • Maintain payroll documentation and update procedures for compliance
  • Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and clarity
  • Serve as the primary liaison with third-party payroll processors
