Description The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across all dealership entities. This role ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, precision, and internal control. The Payroll Specialist serves as a key resource for payroll-related inquiries and plays a critical role in supporting operational integrity and employee trust. • Process payroll for all dealership employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and government regulations. • Manage timekeeping systems and ensure proper tracking of hours, overtime, and PTO. • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local tax regulations and payroll laws • Process employee deductions, benefits, and garnishments in accordance with company policies • Ensure accurate calculation of commissions, and other wages • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries or concerns • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure data and compliance integrity • Reconcile payroll related accounts such as benefits, 401k, wages • Assist with any audits as necessary Requirements What We're Looking For: • Minimum of 2 years experience in Dealership Payroll • Microsoft Excel Knowledge • Current California Driver's License • A self-starter with a strong ethical compass. • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks. • Tech-savvy, comfortable with web-based programs, and proficient in Excel. • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in payroll processing • Knowledge of payroll systems. Paylocity preferred. • Knowledge of Dealer DMS CDK and Tekion preferred • Proficiency in 10-key skills. • Thorough understanding of Dealership payroll and payroll laws • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently. • A team player who is coachable and strives to grow.
