QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of payroll processing or related accounting/HR experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, or similar) and MS Office Suite (Excel proficiency required).
  • Familiarity with federal and state payroll regulations and tax reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining employee payroll records. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent organizational skills to support the company’s payroll operations in a timely and efficient manner.
Location: Corporate Headquarters in Newtown Square, PA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records, hours worked, overtime, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update payroll information, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefit deductions.
  • Ensure payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to HR, Finance, and leadership as required.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audits, year-end reporting, and preparation of W-2s/1099s.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll processes and ensure accuracy.
