WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in payroll processing
  • Experience working with time and attendance, payroll and HR systems.
  • Required knowledge of state and federal employment taxes including quarter and year-end processing.
  • Strong MS Office skills in Excel, Outlook, and Word

Responsibilities
  • Assists clients in running weekly, semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly payrolls.
  • Processes periodic and client-requested payroll and benefits reports
  • Performs data entry of employee information into payroll system to include new hires, changes, terminations, etc.
  • Conducts remote customer payroll training as needed
  • Communicates directly with clients to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Support project manager including, preparation of documents, and follow-up on timelines and deliverables.
  • Gross to net calculation, audit and balancing.
  • Vendor transactions including, flexible spending, 401(k), etc.
  • Works closely with HRMS System and assists with HRMS implementation, testing, maintenance, and security. Support project manager including, preparation of documents, and follow-up on timelines and deliverables.
  • Document workflow and work procedures.
  • Prepare all live payroll checks for distribution, as required.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
  • Reviewing tax notices received by clients
  • Reconcile and audit quarterly and year-end filings for multi-state clients (employers)
