Description:
Our Little Island base medium sized construction company is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Payroll Specialist. The role will be reporting to the Finance Director and will be part of a small high performing Finance and Admin team.
Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations accurately,
efficiently, and in compliance with employment law across several different entities and
jurisdictions.
This role requires strong attention to detail, advanced knowledge of payroll
systems, and a customer-centric approach. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for end-to-
end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, and supporting ongoing Payroll needs.
They will have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working in pacey and entrepreneurial
environments, delivering practical operational results and be a strong business partner to their
peers.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ownership of Group Payrolls, weekly and monthly, across multiple Group entities &
jurisdictions.
Cross-functional collaboration with People & Culture Leader and Operations Team to
resolve payroll Issues.
Strict adherence to deadlines in the processing and submission of payroll returns.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring accurate
documentation and compliance.
Calculation and inclusion of benefits in kind, holiday pay, statutory payments (sick,
maternity, paternity), and other payroll-related items.
Answer payroll-related queries and support employees with requests such as Mortgage
Forms, Salary Certs etc.
Administration of pension scheme including remitting monthly payments, reconciliation
of contributions, leavers options, processing new entrants.
Implement payroll legislative changes and ensure all procedures are updated
accordingly.
Pleo Debit Card Employee Expenses system support.
Booking flights, accommodation & car hire for Senior Management.
Other ad hoc tasks that will arise from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years experience in the payroll function.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting
software (Xero would be an advantage).
The ability to multitask.
An IPASS qualification would be desirable.
Be familiar with ROS.
Ability work to tight deadlines under pressure.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills.
Team player.
Detail-oriented.
Demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality.
Salary noted based on full time hours

Pay: €42,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
