Description Delavan Holdings | Full-Time | Onsite Delavan Holdings is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll processing across our family of companies, including Kunes Auto Group, Lake Lawn Resort, Geneva10, and other operating businesses. This role is responsible for maintaining payroll records, processing wages and deductions, and serving as a reliable point of contact for employee payroll questions. What You’ll Do Compile and process payroll data including hours worked, commissions, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and benefit contributions Maintain and update payroll records related to pay changes, promotions, transfers, tax exemptions, and benefit elections Review payroll calculations for accuracy and post final payroll entries Prepare and issue paychecks and direct deposits Track and maintain records for PTO, vacation, sick time, and other non-taxable wages Prepare periodic payroll reports related to earnings, taxes, and deductions Process hiring and termination paperwork, including COBRA notifications Coordinate employee insurance forms and payments in partnership with the office manager Respond to employee payroll questions clearly, professionally, and respectfully Maintain confidentiality, organization, and a professional work environment Perform other related duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Clear, professional communication skills Ability to perform basic to intermediate payroll-related math (percentages, commissions, deductions) Practical problem-solving skills and sound judgment Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment Requirements Education & Experience We are open to candidates with a range of backgrounds: High school diploma or GED preferred Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field is a plus Prior payroll, accounting, HR, or administrative experience helpful but not required Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Work Environment & Physical Requirements Office-based role during standard business hours Ability to work at a computer for extended periods Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions Why Delavan Holdings?
