QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, including certified payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Excel.
  • Experience in construction, government contracts, or related industries preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Process and manage weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, including certified payrollin compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records, timesheets, and job cost allocations.
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports to appropriate agencies.
  • Assist with audits, reconciliations, and year-end processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting to ensure accuracy in benefits deductions and labor tracking.
