About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented, efficient and organized Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position is responsible for processing compensation for W2 and 1099 physicians as well as registering and maintaining payroll taxes in an HRIS system. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, critical thinking, experience working in a high-growth company, and the ability to work effectively as part of a payroll team. What You'll Do Payroll Processing: Process biweekly and semi-monthly payroll for over 1,200 employees, including data entry, timekeeping, and calculation of wages and deductions. Verification: Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to hours worked. Benefit Administration: Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions. Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate calculation and timely submission of payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local withholding. 2 entities spanning 50 states. Reporting: Generate payroll reports as required. Communication: Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions promptly and professionally. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and secure payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Compliance: Stay current with federal and state payroll laws and regulations to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance. Process Controls: Full understanding of audit controls and necessary regulatory guidelines. Accuracy: Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Critical Thinking: Ability to take ownership of different processes and improve based on the high-growth needs of the company. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in related field At least three years of related experience required Ability to correctly register and audit local, state, SIT and SUI payroll taxes Ability to correctly audit payroll earnings and deductions Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and HRIS systems Demonstrated ability to collaborate and provide exemplary customer service via verbal and written means with internal customers in a diverse and distributed team environment Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work effectively under deadlines and self-manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to thrive in a 100% high growth fast paced organization Hybrid based environment with in-office requirements What We Offer Be part of a passionate, purpose-driven team dedicated to transforming mental healthcare.
