Description As a Payroll Specialist at Island Hospitality Management, you will be responsible for processing full cycle payroll for properties throughout Island’s property portfolio. Requirements Job Requirements: Process payroll for employees in the organization Maintain personnel database regarding salaries Report to department supervisor regarding daily activities and issues Work directly with clients to achieve organizational goals as required Work with company database programs to process payroll Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll, company budgets, and expenses Enter payroll maintenance information for properties Enter new hires, employee changes, and process terminations into the payroll system Review payroll batches and registers Process garnishments and other payroll-related deductions Address and resolve any payroll issues from employees and supervisors Distributing and mailing checks Any other duties assigned by Supervisor Job Qualifications: Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws Previous experience with Paylocity Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications Exceptional multitasking and organization skills Able to work effectively with minimal supervision Training: Island Hospitality is committed to employee development and displays that commitment with a formalized training and development program providing a clear path for any employee with a desire and aptitude to thrive in the hospitality business.
