Description About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our team in the automotive industry. This role will be responsible for assisting with payroll processing for employees, including commission and bonus calculations for sales and service staff. Prior payroll experience is not required. We are happy to train someone with an accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or similar background who is organized, comfortable working with numbers, and able to handle confidential information with care. Responsibilities Assist with processing employee payroll on a regular schedule Review timesheets and verify hours worked Calculate and verify commissions, bonuses, and incentive-based pay for sales and service teams Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data Help resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions Assist with payroll reporting and documentation Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies Support the accounting team with related administrative tasks Process garnishments and child support orders Qualifications Background in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a similar role preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets Good organizational and time management skills Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is a plus Prior experience in accounting, administrative work, or payroll-related tasks is helpful but not required Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) retirement plan.
