At Kimball Midwest, you are a name and not a number and we pride ourselves on our unique culture.   Role Summary:  We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team. This role is responsible for accurately processing payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding pay-related questions.   Responsibilities: * Process biweekly/semimonthly payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees * Maintain and audit employee payroll records for accuracy * Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies * Process new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and garnishments * Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies * Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner * Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams as needed * Assist with year-end activities, including W-2 processing Qualifications: * 2+ years of payroll processing experience * Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations (FLSA, state taxes, garnishments) * Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Lyric) * Experience supporting multi-state payroll (Preferred) * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion * Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Additional Information: We offer a benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, company sponsored life, optional life and disability insurance, Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts, a 401(k) plus match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Parental Leave, Paid Time Off (PTO), a Dress for your Day dress code and paid holidays.  Kimball Midwest is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to a program of recruitment of females, minority group members, individuals with disabilities, qualifying veterans and any other classification that is protected by federal, state, or local law.   We Participate in E-Verify.
