Description The Payroll Specialist is responsible for administering accurate and timely payroll for multiple companies while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position also provides support for employee benefits administration and serves as a key resource for payroll-related inquiries. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage payroll across multiple legal entities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Responsibilities Process weekly and biweekly payrolls for multiple companies using Paylocity. Review payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Audit timecards, earnings, deductions, taxes, tips, garnishments, and benefit deductions. Process new hires, terminations, status changes, and compensation changes. Maintain payroll records and employee data within Paylocity. Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end activities. Coordinate payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Respond to employee payroll questions in a timely and professional manner. Support annual W-2 processing and payroll audits. Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and general ledger allocations. Recommend process improvements and maintain payroll procedures. Requirements Required Minimum 3-5 years of payroll administration experience Experience administering payroll for multiple companies or EINs Strong understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws Experience processing garnishments, taxes, benefit deductions, and year-end payroll activities Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent organizational and communication skills High level of confidentiality and professionalism Preferred Experience supporting manufacturing, hospitality, or multi-location organizations HRIS implementation or payroll system optimization experience Experience processing payroll using Paylocity or comparable cloud-based payroll/HRIS
