Location: Guatemala City (Hybrid) Department: Finance – Accounting Operations Reports To: Director, Accounting Operations Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with deep knowledge of Guatemalan labor and tax regulations? MedRisk Guatemala is looking for a bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for our local operations. As part of a global organization dedicated to delivering excellence in healthcare management, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our employees are supported through accurate payroll practices and exceptional service. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Guatemala operations. * Ensure compliance with Guatemalan labor, tax, and social security laws (SAT, IGSS, IRTRA, INTECAP). * Maintain payroll data accuracy and prepare statutory reports and filings. * Collaborate with HR to maintain employee data and resolve payroll-related inquiries. * Support year-end processes (Aguinaldo, Bono 14, tax declarations). * Participate in payroll audits, reconciliations, and process improvements. ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources (preferred). * 3–5 years of proven experience managing payroll in Guatemala. * Strong understanding of local labor and tax regulations. * Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required). * High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality. * Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems. * Strong Excel and reporting skills.
