About this role: 

We are looking for a dedicated and communicative (internal) Payroll Specialist to strengthen our payroll team in Berlin . Reporting to the Payroll Team Lead for couriers in Germany, you will play a key role in processing payroll, handling preparatory processes, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in various payroll activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with theoretical knowledge of payroll accounting who is eager to gain practical experience in a dynamic, multinational environment.

These are some of the most important components of the role:

• Validation, distribution and preparation of taxes and deductions.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, documentation, and records.
• Preparation of reports for management and ensuring compliance with legal obligations.
• Ensure that all payments comply with collective agreements, laws and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing and distributing salary information to employees.
• Answering questions about payroll from employees and supervisors.

What qualifications do you bring to the position?

• Education: Advanced training in payroll accounting, bookkeeping or a related field.
• Experience in payroll accounting is required.
• Experience with the DATEV (Lodas) system is required.
• Effective communication skills to explain payroll statements, policies and practices.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with team members.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets 
• Excellent German and English skills are required.
