We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support our Finance team with accurate and timely payroll processing. This is a part-time role ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values precision, and is comfortable managing payroll processes in a collaborative environment. Position Overview The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and ensuring accuracy in wages, taxes, deductions, and reporting. This role also serves as a key resource for payroll-related questions and works closely with our payroll provider to ensure smooth operations. This position is part-time, working approximately 20-25 hours per week, with eligibility for a hybrid work schedule. What You’ll Do Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy of wages, tax withholdings, deductions, and benefit contributions Review and validate payroll data for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Support SCSEP payroll processing as needed Generate routine and ad hoc payroll reports, including quarterly and year-end reporting Respond to employee and external inquiries such as wage verifications, garnishments, and deduction changes Serve as the primary liaison with the payroll provider to resolve issues and maintain system accuracy Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation Assist with audits and other finance-related reporting as needed Requirements What We’re Looking For Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Experience with payroll systems such as Paycor or Paylocity preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Ability to manage deadlines and work independently Schedule & Flexibility Part-time: 20-25 hours per week Flexible schedule Hybrid work environment available after initial training Compensation & Benefits $17.00–$19.00/hour, depending on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) accrued based on hours worked Paid holidays (eligibility based on scheduled hours) Dental and vision insurance options Equal Opportunity Employer Vantage is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, religion, color, sex, gender, age, national origin, veteran status, military status, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
