Based out of our North Sydney head office, this specialist Payroll Analyst role sits within the Corporate Payroll team and manages complex, non‑standard payroll activities to support accurate pay outcomes across a diverse, enterprise‑agreement‑driven workforce. About the role The role is focused on delivering accurate and compliant pay outcomes through detailed payroll reviews and Enterprise Agreement interpretation. This includes identifying and reconciling differences between actual and entitled pay, conducting investigations, audits and large‑scale reconciliations, and presenting clear, auditable outcomes to People & Culture, Industrial Relations and Finance to support approval and implementation. Key responsibilities Analyse and calculate remuneration adjustments through detailed interpretation of Enterprise Agreements, rates, allowances, overtime and termination provisions, supported by timesheet and payroll result analysis. Present clear, auditable outcomes to Payroll, People & Culture and Industrial Relations stakeholders. Manage complex payroll recovery scenarios through detailed data analysis, reconciliations and employee consultation, including third‑party recovery where required. Deliver month‑end payroll reports and metrics, including trends, terminations and exceptions, translating complex payroll data into clear insights for stakeholders. Perform complex payroll reconciliations and analysis using SAP (including Spinifex) and advanced Excel, covering complex allowances, leave, superannuation and third‑party payments. About you Experience in a similar role resolving complex payroll issues through detailed analysis, reconciliations and corrective payroll actions, supported by clear reporting. Experience interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements, including rates, allowances, overtime and superannuation rules. Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse large data sets and perform detailed reconciliations. Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands, and translate complex payroll data into clear, practical insights.
